Animal Empowerment: Plus Size Outfit

I wasn't going to post this outfit for a while yet as I thought I'd schedule it for a few days or weeks later, maybe closer to Valentines day, however I've had a bloody awful day and blogging cheers me up. This outfit makes me feel amazing, so pretty and empowered and I definitely need an injection of that right now...

I don't know what it is about leopard print and red lips (I've talked about my love of both of them combined many a time on this blog) but they're my ultimate confident boost when I'm not feeling too fantastic. The dress is by Scarlett & Jo which I picked up in the incredible Evans sale not too long ago. If you aren't familar with Scarlett & Jo make sure you check them out, they make some beautiful clothes and really truly believe in dressing the plus size figure to emphasise it rather than hide it (they also do some bloody amazing work with plus size bloggers, just check out all their recent shenanigans on their Instagram page).

It's been difficult to buy clothes recently due losing a few lb's (I'm not gonna go on about boring diets) but I spotted this dress in the sale in a UK 26 and thought I'd risk giving it a try and I'm so glad I did because it fits me like a glove, it's been worn loads already in the few weeks that I've owned it. The little ankle boots with their cute gold trims are from Yours Clothing and I feel totally keep this outfit casual, cute and comfortable for Sunday night drinks but just give it a little bit of extra something (...oh and they're incredibly comfy especially for wide trotters like mine, I really love boots from Yours Clothing, have you checked them out?).

Leopard Print Dress - Scarlett & Jo (no longer available - similar here)
Biker Jacket - Evans (old - similar here)
Faux Fur Collar - eBay
Black Tights - The Big Tights Co.
Gold Trim Ankle Boots - Yours Clothing
Red Lippy - 'Red Devil' Seventeen

Most of the items I'm wearing are old or no longer available but I've linked to all very similar items if you fancy trying to recreate this look. A little bit of leopard print never goes out of style so a LLD (Little Leopard Dress) should be a staple in all of your wardrobes and a red lippy should live in your makeup bag! My other reason for this outfit is this....

I'm hoping it's scored me extra points for being accepted into Becky and Em's new girl gang ;) (jokin, but totes serious!).
