Diamonds 'n' Pearls: Monroe Knows: Plus Size Dresses

Christmas day for me this year was spent at home, so although it's nice to get a little bit dressed up for festivities, I just wanted to be as comfy as possible without remaining in my pyjamas, cue my fabulously comfortable, yet versatile Monroe Knows 'Amy' dress.

Although I wanted this dress to look glam I also wanted to be able to dress it down. It's a gorgeous jersey, wrap style dress with a fabulous plunging neckline which makes it very easy to throw on with court shoes and a clutch bag but as it's a little more pricey than other jersey dresses out there I wanted to see if I could dress it in a way I know I'd get lots of wear out of. I always think it's such a shame to have dresses that you spend loads of money on that only leave the house on special occasions or when you're dressing up. Having key pieces like this dress are brilliant for making the most out of your wardrobe.

This dress and others from Monroe Knows have been styled beautifully on fellow blogger babes such as Danie, Nancy, Becky and Georgina and as you can see from the variety of different ways we have all styled them they are extremely versatile wardrobe staples. Although these are jersey pieces they are made of thick, quality jersey that hangs beautifully and doesn't cling, isn't see through or leave you with any unsightly underwear lines which cheaper jersey tends to do. At present the selection over at Monroe Knows is small but perfectly formed, just 8 simple, effortless styles that can really compliment any plus size wardrobe. The range currently only runs up to around a UK size 26 (but it is a generous 26) so don't be scared to give it a try if you are a little larger, this particular dress has loads of stretch and I'm guessing the others will do too.

Also, I need to just say this fur collar is amazing! I totally took inspiration from Mrs Bebe with this little beauty and it just completely changes any look! If you like to add a little bit of glam to your outfits than think about investing in one of these little beauties.
