...and why do I love plus size babes and the plus size community that I've been lucky enough to become part of? Because of the things that ordinary, every day people pull together for others, not for profit, not for any kind of glory but just for their love of everything fat fashion related.
A couple of weeks ago the lovely Toodaloo Katie organised and held Plus London's First Evening Market where we all got to turn up and sell our old wares or walk away with new ones. A small but perfectly formed event where we could all buy, sell, swap, chat and just generally get together and enjoy fatshion and inspiration in a place dedicated to us, for that Katie, I thank you.

I was pleased to be able to head on down and took a few bits and pieces down that finally needed to find new homes. Check out the stunning Lucia of U Can't Wear That properly pulling off a New Look Inspire jumper she bagged off me for £3! She totally rocks it, better than I ever could, so pleased to see it getting the love it deserves!
I also couldn't resist a mooch and picked up a few perfect items. First up from Lucia, a very pretty blue chiffon dress, which was brand new and never worn from Matalan's Rogers & Rogers range..
I got to wear the dress out for a few casual drinks on Friday night in town and loved it. It's also made me more inclined to maybe try a few more items from the Rogers & Rogers collection (what little of it there is) as now I know how it fits. The dress is a UK 30 and has bags of room, the camisole underneath is also detachable meaning you could wear the chiffon overlay piece as a kaftan over beach wear, lovely dress that I'm thrilled to now own.
If you ever see anything like this and think that you'd like to attend I urge you to go along and support it, you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to show off some of the other items I got, but that's for another night, I'm off to bed now with a head whirring full of thoughts, I'm a little bit emotional this evening...
