Where Do You Go, My Lovely? : Update & Outfit

Well,

Hi!

It's officially been a month, a month of bad karma for me. But, today is my birthday, I've just got home from a lovely meal with special people, I'm feeling loved and ready to throw myself back in. Will you have me again?

In short, I've been so busy, working far too much, worrying far too much and have suffered a serious confidence slump again. I'm working on me and that's all that matters!

So, I'm not going to go on about the ins and outs and deeps and meaningfuls right now as in all honesty I just don't feel like I can articulate it the way I would like to at the minute, so instead I'm going to show you the outfit I wore this evening.

About a month or so ago the girlies over at Simply Be sent me some beautiful Autumn/Winter 2013 items to review, my apologies now my loves for the delay in showing you these but seriously I've just not been very camera friendly.

The first item I have is this really pretty tapestry dress, above is the pic of it from the Simply Be website as my outfit pictures have had to be edited in sepia as the evening light made them all look really green and weird and I looked like a Simpson with some seriously green gills!

I paired the dress with an old white Primark cardigan and a pair of tan suede Simply Be boots that I'd had a couple of years ago which I found lurking at the back of my wardrobe...

White Cardigan - Primark
Leggings - Evans
Suede Tan Slouch Boots - Simply Be
Earrings - New Look

My only niggle with the dress is that the tummy area is a bit tight, so when I'm sat down and my middle expands (as a fat body does) it is ridiculously snug as there isn't any stretch in the dress at all apart from the middle section waistband. However, I chose this dress because the print was unusual, the pretty chiffon overlay with it's sheer tapestry print makes me think of my grandma's old favourite chair (but in a good, reminiscent, playful way!), it makes me feel like I'm wearing something a bit vintage and cosy which makes it perfect for autumn/winter dressing.

I'm going to bed now to enjoy a big fat birthday snooze as tomorrow is going to be relaxed, full of snoozing, nail painting and Nando's but I will be back with some other lovely items very soon. Until then, stick with me and stay beautiful.....

BIG LOVE
XOXOXOX
